About Grendon Sapphires FC

A family friendly club who play in Grendon near Northampton. The club has dedicated facilities with 2 pitches, changing facilities, training equipment and partially flood lit area. We play on Sundays and train on Thursdays. 2 years ago we did the league and cup double by winning the Sunday Conference 2nd division and also the cup. The final was played at Rushden & Diamonds. Prior to the start of the 09/10 season due to health problems our manager had to step down and we lost a large number of the squad, we struggled to find reliable replacements and we have found it hard to gain consistency since. This year we will be looking to build again by attracting reliable players to add to the core of the team we already have in place. The management of the team is currently handled by the Chairman who would ideally like to concentrate on his former duties. We are therefore seeking new reliable players in all positions as well as a manager/coach.
