About Cardiff Dragons FC

We are the Cardiff Dragons, Wales' first LGBTQ+ inclusive football team. We were founded in 2008 with the aim of creating a safe and welcoming space to play football without fear of discrimination. Our 7 a side team for marginalised genders, which includes cis women, trans women and men and non binary players play in the Bristol women’s league and Cardiff casual league. The club plays in the UK-wide Gay Football Supporters' Network League Divison 1, in the Cardiff casual league and also arranges friendlies throughout the season. We have a 1st team for experienced players, a 2nd team for intermediate players and then a community team for players who are either new or looking to play in a much more relaxed environment. We are very proud to be an inclusive club that caters to ALL members of the LGBTQ+ community. You don’t have to be LGBTQ+ to join us, but our allies are expected to support our values and causes as a club.
