About Aldbourne Dabchicks CC
We're a Wiltshire village cricket club, dating back to before the First World War, playing over 20 Sunday games of cricket each season around Wiltshire and Berkshire. In addition, a Twenty20 competition called the Munim Tournament was introduced in 2009 and we began a September Tour to Devon and Cornwall in 2008 known as "Boars on Tour" after our sponsor the Blue Boar. On our website (Aldbournecc.co.uk) you will find our recent results, and averages (where we have them) and match reports for games since 2008, some of which are not for those of a sensitive disposition! There is also a library of occasional Breaking News stories few of which have any grip on reality. Whilst we like to win, we do not place over competitiveness above fun. We are always seeking new players to add to our pool. Whilst Zimmer frames and push chairs are not encouraged we really would welcome interest from young gun teenagers to those approaching the twilight of their careers.
