About Barrhead YFC (2001)

Established in 1972, and now one of the largest youth football clubs in the west of Scotland with 27 teams from under 7's up through to our newly formed amateur team , we have approximately 450 players being supported by over 80 coaches. Barrhead Youth Football Club is a quality mark club and is currently working with the SFA to gain recognition and award as a Development and Community Club. The club received the Quality Mark Award by the SFA in 2008 and since 2008 has been part of the Positive Coaching Scotland Initiative in East Renfrewshire, working in the local community holding coach and parent workshops to help develop young player’s confidence. 2009 saw the club registered as a Scottish Charity (Charity No SC040946).

Positions available

We are currently looking to strengthen our squad with new additions for the coming season. As a well established SFA Quality Mark Club , we train twice a week ( Monday and Wednesday ) on our own 3G pitch at Cowan Park , Barrhead and play in PJDYFL League 1. In this past season we reached both the West Region Cup and Scottish Cup 1/4 finals as well as placing 2 of our squad up into senior clubs.
