About Firle Cricket Club
Firle is one of the oldest cricket clubs in the world, founded in 1758. We still play in Firle Park, renowned across the Sussex Cricket League as one of the most scenic village grounds around and with a long earned reputation for hosting the best cricket tea in Sussex! In 2020, we will have three teams; First XI will compete in Div 7E in the Sussex Cricket League, playing home and away Saturdays from May 2 to Sep 5; Midweek XI will play home friendly T20 games on Wednesday evenings from May to July; Sunday XI will play at home on Sundays from May until end of July. New players and members are always welcome to Firle CC and in 2020 we are particularly keen to grow our pool of league players, so please do get in touch if you fancy competitive cricket this summer. We have players coming from Brighton, Eastbourne and Uckfield every week so travel can be shared but we are also a manageable walk from Glynde station.
