About The Basildon & Pitsea Cricket Club

Originally called Basildon Cricket Club, we have been in existence since before the second world war, however, we have always prided ourselves on a progressive approach to the future. This has manifested itself in many ways, not in the least by its strong youth policy which is the backbone of the clubs current players. The club currently fields 4 league teams on a Saturday, playing in the Shepherd Neame Essex Leagues for its members. On a Sunday, the club field a team which travel the county playing friendlies. To reflect the newer formats within the modern game, the club also participate in the regional 20/20 Cup competition, fielding a team that play weekday nights. The club also has a thriving youth set up, fielding teams in the SEDCB competitons at u9, u11, u13, and u15 age groups. These age groups are assisted by a loyal band of managers and coaches, who volunteer their services to develop the game to local children.
